Fear & Greed
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index is a single 0–100 reading of market sentiment, published once a day by Alternative.me. KF Analyse displays their index; we do not compute it.
The bands
A reading is described by the band it falls in. The bands are inclusive and cover 0–100 with no gap:

| Fear | 26–46 | Negative sentiment, short of the extreme. |
| Neutral | 47–54 | Neither side of the scale dominates. |
| Greed | 55–75 | Positive sentiment, short of the extreme. |
| Extreme Greed | 76–100 | Sentiment measured at its most positive. |
These are the publisher's own boundaries, verified against every reading they have published since February 2018. A band is a description of a measured value — it is not a signal, a target or a recommendation.
What the page shows
- The current reading, its band, and the change in index points against yesterday. The index is itself a 0–100 score, so a day's move is quoted in points rather than as a percentage of a score.
- Yesterday, last week and last month — the readings from one, seven and thirty days before the current one, looked up by date. If the publisher skipped one of those days, that comparison reads "—" rather than quietly using the nearest day we do hold.
- The 1-year high and low, measured over the trailing 365 days whatever window the chart is set to. Below half a year of history they are withheld rather than shown as a year's extreme.
- The history, over 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. The chart states the span it covers; nothing is interpolated or padded.
What it does not show
The publisher releases the headline value and its history, not the breakdown of the inputs behind it. We therefore show no component breakdown — an estimate of someone else's weighting is not a measurement.
Freshness
The index is recomputed once a day. A reading more than a day behind, or one we have not been able to refresh, is still shown — clearly dated, with a note saying so — rather than being hidden or replaced by an older-looking figure.
